Through our online Master of Science in Information Management degree, the iSchool helps professionals bridge the gap between business and technology to improve how organizations consume, manage, and use information.
What Is Information Management?
"Information management is the holistic view of how organizations manage their information resources in order to maximize organizational efficiency and financial position; improve products and processes; connect with associates, consumers, and suppliers; manage projects; and reduce risks."
- Michael Wangerin, MS in Information Management
We are consuming more information than we did five years ago. This explosion of data consumption has led to the need for dedicated information management specialists who can strategically understand, communicate, and leverage complex information within their organization and across various teams. Students in our program gain practical skills in information acquisition, utility, retention, and transfer to successfully lead businesses toward efficiency, social responsibility and overall success.
